Professional Basketball Court Construction in Maryland, Virginia & Delaware

Build a Basketball Court That Lasts for Years

A poorly built court cracks, puddles, and plays flat, ruining the game and wasting your investment. Quality basketball court construction starts with a properly prepared base and a true, level surface, so every dribble, cut, and jump shot performs the way it should for years to come.

At GMC Contractors, Inc., we deliver durable, high-performance basketball court construction using premium 100% acrylic coatings and industry-best practices. No outsourced labor and no compromises. Whether you need a full court for a school, a half court for an HOA, or a custom outdoor basketball court for a backyard, our in-house crews build a surface that is smooth, safe, and made to last.

For over 30 years, we have been serving businesses, schools, HOAs, and municipalities throughout Maryland, including areas like Annapolis, Edgewater, Millersville, Severna Park, and more, as well as Northern Virginia and Delaware. When you search for basketball court construction near me, GMC contractor is the local team that answers.

What Our Basketball Court Construction Covers

Great basketball court construction is about what happens beneath the paint as much as the finish on top. We manage every stage so your court performs and holds up season after season.

Site Prep and Base Work

We grade, compact, and prepare a stable base built for proper drainage. For an asphalt basketball court construction project, this foundation is what prevents the cracking and settling that ruins cheaper builds.

Surfacing and Acrylic Coatings

We apply premium 100% acrylic coatings that deliver consistent ball response, reliable traction, and vivid, long-lasting color, whether it is a competition-grade sport court or a family driveway setup.

Striping and Line Marking

Crisp, accurate lines to regulation or custom dimensions, with multi-sport striping available so one surface can serve basketball plus other games.

Hoops, Fencing and Accessories

We install hoop systems, fencing, and net setups to complete your court, coordinating every element so the finished space is ready to play the day we hand it over.

Building an indoor basketball court or a covered facility? Ask us about pairing the surface with bollard installation to protect structural columns, entry points, and equipment from wear and impact over time.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. As COO/General Manger of Prospect Plantation West HOA in Grasonville, MD, I have had the opportunity and privilege to work with GMC Contactors on a number of projects. To name a few, construction of a firepit with knee wall, concrete pool decking, asphalt parking lot install and seal coat. I have always found them well positioned from a pricing standpoint and their attention to detail is unmatched. I can say all projects have been completed on time and on or under budget. We have other projects slated for the future and will look for GMC Contractors to complete. I would highly recommend utilizing GMC Contractors for your future projects, as they will exceed your expectations.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I recently hired GMC Contractors for a major renovation on my home, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. From the very first consultation, PJ and his team were professional, transparent, and incredibly easy to work with. They took the time to understand exactly what I wanted, offered helpful suggestions, and kept me updated throughout the entire process.
What really stood out was their honesty and transparency. Their pricing is fair, their timelines are reliable, and the workmanship is exceptional. It's rare to find a contractor you can truly trust, but GMC Contractors has earned that trust time and again.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for dependable, high-quality construction services!
